OLD FASHIONED WEEK

OLD FASHIONED WEEK
5-14th November 2022 - another week, another banging cocktail!
It is officially Old Fashioned week! Well, it’s a ten day celebration actually and November is the perfect time of year to explore this simple, yet delightful cocktail.
The Old Fashioned is one of our favourites here at FREDS, strong, stirred-down and brown is the order of the day!

A historic cocktail with a very colourful history. This mix of spirit, sugar, water and bitters has truly stood the test of time.

How you make an Old Fashioned can vary, but the fundamentals of this drink have remained fairly consistent for over 200 years.

Each element of the Old Fashioned can be substituted to give us new and interesting experiences. Swapping honey for sugar, or snapping the zest of an orange and lemon across the top of the drink.

To celebrate this week, we have a few alternatives for you to try and experiment with at home.

A stunning blend that brings a warm and smoky dimension to your Old Fashioned.
